KraulQuappen Swim Rings: which ones are right for your little one?

by Rachel Sammut

If you’ve been to a beach or pool in Malta, chances are that you’ve seen the now iconic aqua/yellow and red/yellow round foam armbands. A question we are often asked about the KraulQuappen Swim Rings is “Which one shall I choose for my baby/child?”

We have two versions of Cherek’s KraulQuappen Swim Rings at Bump & Me, Beginners and Advanced. Both versions are suitable for children with a body weight between 11 and 30kg. Provided that your little one is within this weight range, you can choose the right KraulQuappen Swim Rings according to their experience and physical skills in the water. In other words, it is the child’s ability in the water which determines which ones to choose.

The Beginners KQ rings are recommended for babies from 8 months and children without experience in the water.

With the Beginners KQ rings, users of all ages can easily keep their arms and head above water, while being completely relaxed.

The Advanced KQ rings are recommended for children from 12 months with some water experience.

The Advanced KQ rings are less bulky and more user-friendly. Your child is ready to use these if they are able to turn around in a circle in the water without additional help.

⚠️ Warning: Always use swimming aids under competent adult supervision.
